Biography
Audrey J. Burges
Audrey J. Burges joined Strother Law Offices in July 2007. She is admitted to practice before all Virginia State Courts.
Her practice focuses on general civil litigation, special education law, and land use law.
Ms. Burges earned her juris doctor cum laude from the T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond, where
she was chosen as a John Marshall Scholar for academic excellence. During her time at the University of Richmond, she served
as Manuscripts Editor for the Richmond Journal of Law and Technology, which selected her article, Patterson v. Commonwealth:
An Illustration of the Complexity of DNA Databases, for publication. Ms. Burges also worked as the Chair of the Law School
Admission Representatives. She participated actively on the Moot Court Board, for which she served as Vice President. Upon
her graduation, Ms. Burges was selected as a national member of the The Order of Barristers.
Prior to entering law school, Ms. Burges graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in English at Longwood College in Farmville,
Virginia, where she was awarded the Maria Bristow Starke scholarship for excellence in writing. She transferred to Longwood from
Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona, where she was a President’s Scholar due to her selection as a National Merit
finalist.
Ms. Burges practiced with a small firm in Chesterfield County prior to joining Strother Law Offices. While born and raised in
the Northern Arizona region, she has been honored to call Virginia her home since 1999.
