Mr. Thomas is an associate of Strother Law Offices, PLC.

Mr. Thomas served a judicial clerkship from 2009-2011 for the Honorable Cheryl V. Higgins in the Albemarle County Circuit Court. During the clerkship he worked on a diverse caseload featuring an extensive criminal docket and complex civil litigation. Of note, Mr. Thomas handled preliminary motions concerning freedom of the press in the George Huguley murder trial as well as sentencing in the Slade Woodson trial for the 2008 shootings on Interstate 64.

Mr. Thomas is a graduate of the Rutgers School of Law – Camden. He participated in the Domestic Violence Clinic where he provided legal support to indigent victims of domestic violence. He also performed field work on the Voters’ Rights Projects where he ensured access to the polls for residents of low income areas. Mr. Thomas participated in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot where his team submitted an award-winning brief in an international sale of goods case.

Mr. Thomas attended the University of Virginia School of Law in 2010-2011 as the only admitted visiting student. Mr. Thomas participated in the Advocacy Clinic for the Elderly providing legal services as a third year practitioner to indigent clients with Medicare, Medicaid and end of life issues. In conjunction with this clinic he prepared wills, power of attorney documents, advanced medical directives and made successful appearances in General District Court for erroneous medical bills. He was also a finalist in the school’s Law Entrepreneurial Concept Competition for his development of new business models.
