Biography
Ronald G. Doucette focuses his practice on land and historical conservation easements, land use and general real estate law. He is regarded as one of the region’s most knowledgeable legal specialists in the substantive area of conservation of public and private lands, historical properties and related tax benefits.
Mr. Doucette brings over thirty-five years of legal and investment industry experience to the firm. He has represented or advised corporations, local and regional businesses, law firms, appraisers, land engineers, local government and non-profit organizations in the areas of land development, land use, conservation easements, environmental land use, stream mitigation and government agricultural programs.
Ron’s extensive financial career includes the management of family offices, including the investment and business affairs of wealthy clientele, and advisory services to national banking institutions in the areas of finance, wealth creation and retirement plans.
Ron is admitted to practice law in Virginia, Massachusetts and Indiana, the U.S. District Courts for Massachusetts, Eastern and Western Virginia and the Massachusetts Supreme Court. He is a professional member of the Land Trust Alliance and a former board member of the Land Trust of Virginia. Mr. Doucette is a member of the American Bar Association, Virginia and Loudoun County Bar Associations.
Mr. Doucette is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and Suffolk University Law School. He currently serves on the Board of the American Leprosy Mission and is Chancellor of Church of the Holy Spirit in Ashburn, Virginia. He is a co-founder and past board member of the National Christian Choir.
